With the booming development of construction industry, the overall design-build delivery mode (D-B Mode) has attracted much attention from home and abroad, and it has been widely used across the world. At the same time, as a new technology of strategic importance, the BIM technology enjoys a significant support from the Chinese government. Currently, there is little progress has been made or any application has been implemented concerning D-B mode, relevant researches on this topic is still at a preliminary stage. This paper will elaborate on the D-B mode, mainly its advantages of improving working efficiency by integrating design and construction and its weakness; then it will give an explanation of the main features of the BIM technology, and focus on how to develop a solution while using the B IM technology in different phases (i.e. when working out of a construction plan, figuring out a project schedule and the whole construction process); at last a case in point will be shared.The main content of this paper are as follows:First, there is analysis of how to make use of the BIM technology in the phase of designing a working plan with the D-B mode. By leveraging the visible and interactive function of the BIM technology, overall working plan and control methods can be finalized; and the investment goal and project time schedule can be set.Then, the paper analyzes the application standard of the modeling D-B Mode, the functions of relevant details of the modeling in the designing of an overall working plan. Based on the results from collision detection, a 4D or 5D model will be set up. Some economic and technical norms can be worked out after further analysis into the model.Next, the paper explores that in the construction phase, with a real-time model, dynamic 4D-construction-resources management, schedule and cost variance analysis can be carried out with the help of the BIM technology, thus monitor and adjust real-time project schedule and construction cost, as well as mange the project funds. In addition, with the visualization of BIM technology, engineers can better monitor the project quality and project safety, which will further improve construction efficiency; and this technology can also assist in final account for completed projects and facilitate information delivery and hand-over.This paper develop two theoretical frameworks of participants collaboration, which are stakeholders collaboration model in the project life-cycle based on BIM and stakeholders collaboration in BIM uses. The paper mainly from the change management, plan, progress simulation from three aspects of the collaborative process to describe the BIM synergy.Combined with the current structure and personnel structure, analyses the current status of D-B mode personnel, summed up the structure suitable for D-B mode for the development of enterprises, put forward to strengthen enterprise related Suggestions on the development of general contracting, and combined with our country's current personnel situation, put forward to adapt to the DB mode of talent training plan and Suggestions.Of D-B mode in our country the development situation of research and development factors, summed up the characteristics of DB mode, set up a good general contracting environment in our country and the enterprise culture, promote the development of D-B mode more quickly in our country.
