With the expansion of power system scale,the requirements for transmission lines are becoming higher and higher,therefore,safe and stable operation of the power grid is particularly important.At present,the inspection of power transmission lines in our country mainly relies on manual inspection,which has many problems such as low efficiency,large limitation and no guarantee for safety of staff.UAV has the advantages of small size,high portability,easy to operate,etc.,and UAV aerial images are preliminarily applied in inspection of power transmission lines.Based on the actual needs,a power transmission line inspection system based on UAV,wireless transmission and image processing technology is designed and built in this thesis,which provides certain value to some extent.The main work accomplished includes the following.1.Aiming at the problem of weak contrast for transmission line image and the complex background,an image enhancement method based on the piecewise linear transformation and an image binarization method combined with the coarse threshold and the connected domain processing were provided,which achieved the effect of removing background image and retaining the information of power transmission line.2.Referring to the great difficulty for extracting information from transmission line of image,a method was given to extract the purified transmission line information.Combining regional growth algorithm with Hough transform,the effect of receiving rapidly and accurately was reached in order to get information of transmission line in the image.3.The design scheme of identifying faults of transmission line was provided,and a set of UAV-based inspection and monitoring system for power transmission line is designed and set up.The main functions of this system include fault alarm of power transmission line and recording image faults,etc.,and a good foundation was laid for automatic inspection of transmission line.With the advantages of easy operation,fast processing speed,high accuracy,the UAV power transmission line monitoring system designed in this thesis has a wide application prospect due to improving the efficiency of transmission line inspection.
