When a foreign body is suspended on the transmission lines,the limit discharge distance of high voltage electricity is shortened,which may cause large area power cut.Accordingly,it is necessary to find the foreign body and clean it.Manual line patrol is time-consuming and labor-intensive.The application of UAV improves the efficiency of line patrol,but a lot of aerial images need to be checked manually,which may cause false or missed detection.The best solution to realize intelligentize and integration is to use image processing to detect foreign bodies,and develop a line patrol management system which integrates foreign body detection,data management,user management and other functions.Aiming at the aerial images of transmission lines with foreign bodies,a method of foreign body detection and location based on image processing is proposed,which consists of image preprocessing,image segmentation and image analysis.The specific contents are as follows:(1)The image preprocessing step mainly completes the amplification,clipping,graying and filtering of aerial images,which is to solve the problems that target features are not obvious and noise interference is serious.Firstly,the aerial image is amplified and clipped,then the image is grayed.Finally,the traditional median filter is improved,and a method consisting of adaptive median filter and bilateral filter is used to denoise.(2)The image segmentation step mainly completes the segmentation of foreground objects and background,which is to solve the problem of image segmentation under complex background.Firstly,an adaptive particle swarm optimization algorithm with dynamic change of inertia weight is proposed.Secondly,the OTSU dual threshold algorithm based on the improved PSO algorithm is selected to complete initial segmentation of the image.Finally,a SVM image segmentation algorithm based on multi-feature integration is selected for re-segmentation.(3)The image analysis step mainly completes the foreign body detection and location.Firstly,a binary image processing method based on region features is proposed and selected with morphological modification to remove the interference regions.Secondly,the probabilistic Hough transform is used to detect the transmission lines and get the complete transmission line edges.Finally,a description method based on the internal characteristics of binary image pixels is proposed to detect and locate foreign bodies.The accuracy and time-consuming of the algorithm are analyzed through several image tests.The result shows that the algorithm can screen out the images with foreign bodies and locate foreign bodies quickly and accurately.Finally,the transmission line patrol management system is designed and completed with Qt.The system contains the functions of foreign body detection,data storage,data management and user management,which can greatly improve the efficiency of UAV power inspection.
