The traditional architecture of the ancient city of Suzhou, as an important element of the style and texture of the ancient city of Suzhou, is the link of the regional architectural culture in Suzhou, and is also an important carrier of historical and cultural information to Suzhou. However, with the progress of time and used for a long time, it is hard for these old buildings to avoid the technical problems of lighting, ventilation, moisture-proof, insulation, safety, kitchen facilities and space height and other aspects of the separation. When we are faced with the actual situation of the old building which can not meet the actual needs of the owners of contradictions, in addition to the basic repair and protection, the traditional building energy saving transformation has brought us a new inspiration and hope.This paper mainly attempts to study and discuss the key technology of building envelope energy saving transformation based on the traditional buildings in the ancient city of Suzhou.First of all, through the research of the status quo of the traditional architecture of the ancient city, this paper is mainly aimed at the preservation of retaining structure which would be investigated and analyzed. This research will also explore the influence of retaining structure of the existing indoor comfort and building energy consumption, and the passive energy saving technology contained in traditional architecture extraction.Secondly, we will research the case of representative buildings selected from the informative and complete buildings which have been studied, mainly combs the development history, analysis and Research on the layout of the construction of old building envelope structure, and we will use the relevant software to the construction of energy-efficient computing, to make energy-saving assessment.Finally, on the basis of case analysis and comparison, we will focus on energy-saving of enclosure structure, especially the structure of energy-saving as combined with structure of traditional ancient architecture, which is fitting the original form and style, which will be presented by drawing graph and text descriptions. On the basis of the research, we will make energy saving design for the building case without the application of energy-saving measures. Through importing design parameters to the software model, energy saving transformation strategy will be proposed applied to energy saving transformation of traditional building envelope based on the resaults, in order to meet the new requirements of the old building energy saving and indoor comfort.
