Test Bench Control System Design For Nature Gas Compressor

Natural gas is a mixture of hydrocarbon in which the primary constituent is methane(CH4)and is produced from gas well or crude oil well.Interest in natural gas as an alternative fuel is high due to its lower cost,clean burning qualities.As a transportation fuel,stored nature gas must be compressed for an increase in energy density.The compressor is used to boost the pressure of nature gas and is the primary equipment of the CNG refueling station.Its running situation is directly related to the production and transmission of natural gas.Must make sure the compressor is working fine before ship to customer.So the natural gas compressor testing platform control system is of great significance.This paper does some research for Nature Gas Compressor test platform control system.First,summarize the development of natural gas test platform at home and abroad and what kind of technologies they choice;then to introduce the natural gas compressor testing platform control system we are designing this time.According to actual requirements of test platform control monitoring we want to implement,start to design each function module of hardware circuit for test platform,each module describing from several following respects mainly: target,structure,principle etc.Based on the AB SLC500(5/05)hardware platform,select proper single-chip microcomputer and PLC program for programming,design the controller,control object and display form a complete set of control system.By Ethernet protocol,communication,implementation and the upper computer through Panel Builder RSLinx connection and configuration will be process control object state display and adjust working condition.The test system can be targeted for the working process of the compressor and monitoring test status.The design solved China branch cannot test complete compressor with natural gas.So it is important to company and other nature gas compressor company can also reference it.
