The forming technology and strengthening technology of aluminum alloy are introduced in this paper. The main technology of high strength Aluminum Alloy is the casting gravity metal casting, the low-pressure casting, the differential pressure(back pressure) casting, the extrusion casting(liquid forging), the semi-solid extrusion and the electromagnetic casting etc. The ability of the metal to resist deformation is mainly determined by the degree of the dislocation movement, so the strengthening of the aluminum alloy is mainly to increase the resistance of the movement of the dislocation. The strengthening of metal involves the basic ways of deformation, alloying and heat treatment. The strengthening technique includes four basic methods, such as dislocation strengthening, grain boundary strengthening, solid solution strengthening and second phase strengthening.In this paper, the defects of low pressure casting methods are studied. This paper introduces the whole process of engine cylinder head casting. The production of engine cylinder head casting of engine cylinder head is as an example at FAW TOYOTA(Changchun) Engine Co. Ltd. Foundry. The process and quality control of engine cylinder head casting are described. According to process flow, the smelting, sand treatment(sand recycling), core making, casting, after treatment(cleaning), heat treatment are carried out a simple description. And in the equipment, mold, process design and so on also are carried on the outline. The key process in the production of casting of cylinder head and coating type are described in detail. In ensuring the quality of castings, mainly from two aspects is researched. First, the mold cooling system is studied. By controlling the temperature of the die to ensure the solidification sequence, the problem of shrinkage caused by water leakage is solved radically. Second, aluminum water purifying treatment is studied. Reducing the aluminum in water slag and gas, the aluminum water purification is studied. At the process design, from the gate design, the pressure curve and the cavity exhaust are studied. At last, from the actual production two cases, the different periods cases and different aspects cases are listed, including internal and external waste and scrap, chronic waste and mold, conditions, etc. Using the method of numerical analysis and simulation to solve the actual production problems and obtain good results.
