The electric power industry is an significant basic energy industry in China,And it plays an important role in the normal operation and development of various industries. Constructing and planning the power grid will directly affect the healthy and sustainable development of the electric power industry. And it also will affect the economic and stable operation of the power grid in the entire region.Distribution network,the last link of power between generating and users,is one of the important part of the power system. Distribution network planning is an important guide and basis for the construction of distribution network. A scientific and reasonable distribution planning can provide quality power supply and it will benefit for the healthy and sustainable development of the national economy. With the accelerated pace of urban construction, Limit the planning of power grid lines,and put forward to the higher requirements for power grid planning.The load forecasting and planning of transformer substation are the vital part of the whole power distribution network.The paper introduces several common methods of load forecasting,and the research results were used in the distribution network load forecasting of Licheng area. The results of the study should be based on the science, in line with the objective reality, comprehensive consideration of various factors on the basis of the study results should be established, substation optimization location and capacity is essential which is associated with economy and reliability for distribution building.Determining the location and capacity of substation scientificly and reasonable can lower investment cost and bring considerable social and economic benefits.And it also can Improve the utilization of land resources and improve the ecological environment.The paper studies the optimization planning for the distribution network.The method presented can solve the problem of optimization location based on Multi-Power Consecutive Substation locating method.This method requires the substation economic attributes in the early and via them Multi-Power Consecutive Substation locating model can be built in order to minimize load moments for the whole network.The Matlab program can help for repeated division and iterative computation and the substation location continues to change until it reaches its end condition.Meanwhile,the Matlab program can be applied to 110V substation optimization location and capacity in Licheng area. Substation location and capacity to meet the requirements,so the distribution network planning optimization is obtained. Licheng area of 110kV substation planning examples verify can proved that the method studied in this paper is correct.The results gained can meet the demand and it leads to optimization planning,The program written has a certain universal significance.In the end,this paper explores how the terrain and load character effect the choice of location.Put these factors into consideration for more abundant models and more accurate results.
