The rapid development of high-speed railway promotes the development of our country's economy and the social stability. And as the operating speed increases, study on the vibration performance, safety and comfort of the vehicle is becoming more urgent. The precision and credibility of the whole vehicle dynamics model of high-speed train is the premise of those studies and directly affects the results of vehicle dynamics analysis.This paper studied the finite element modeling and updating, as well as the establishment and updating of the rigid-flexible coupling model of both a certain type of train and its scale model. Firstly the equivalent theory of sandwich plates was introduced, and the finite element modeling method of the car body was studied. The refined finite element model and the equivalent finite element model provided alternative schemes for the car body finite element modeling through the comparative analysis. The theory of multi-body dynamics was briefly described, the establishment and analysis of the multi-rigid-body dynamics model of the vehicle laid a foundation for the establishment of rigid-flexible coupling model. Then the experimental research on the scale model of the car body was studied based on the theory of modal test.Experiments were carried out using a variety of schemes. Through the analysis and comparison of the excitation signal, the position of the excitation point and the excitation direction, 4 order rigid and 4 order elastic modal results of the car body scale model were finally determined as the correction targets.In the following finite element model updating of the car body scale model, correcting parameters was selected through experiences and the sensitivity analysis method, and the 4 order elastic modal results was set as the correction targets. Comparision of the modal frequency error and MAC value before and after the updating indicated that model updating reduced the difference between the simulation and real model. Finally, the updated car body finite element model was imported into SIMPACK and combined with the rigid bogie to form a rigid-flexible coupling model. Modal analysis of the rigid-flexible coupling model of the whole vehicle was carried out. The sensitivity analysis method was adopted to update the force element parameters of both the primary suspension and the secondary suspension, with the 4 order rigid modal results as the correction targets. Updated results verified the feasibility and correctness of the method,the calibrated rigid-flexible coupling model can be used for further analysis instead of the real one.Based on the study of the scale model, the modeling method was applied to the certain train,and the implements of the updating of the rigid-flexible coupling model acquired high praise.
