Recombinant Bamboo is a new bio-composite which exploited reasonable utilization of abundant bamboo resources in our country. Recombinant bamboo has high mechanical property and surface smoothness, which satisfies the mechanical strength requirements of the material for the formwork. It can effectively reduce the consumption of timber resources in our country currently, improve the quality of concrete work and decrease the cost of concrete formwork if the recombinant bamboo is used in construction template. On the other hand, because of the fastener steel tube falsework support system(FSTF) with convenient installation, high bearing capacity and strong commonality, it is widely used in the construction. But the collapse about FSTF often occurred, so how to improve its stability is urgent. In this paper, the construction formwork of recombinant bamboo and the fastener steel tube falsework support system were researched. The research contents were summarized as follows:1. In the paper, forty-one groups of recombinant bamboo specimens with different moisture content were designed. Effect of moisture content on the failure pattern and mechanical properties were studied. The fibre-saturation point of recombinant bamboo is about 19% by using equation of regression. The design value of modulus of rupture and modulus of elasticity reduction coefficient were put forward, and their values are 4.0 and 0.8, respectively.2. Referring to combination structure design principle, the recombinant bamboo form with steel frame in strength and stiffness under different working conditions were analyzed. Based on the result of theoretical analysis, three kinds of working conditions of recombinant bamboo form with steel frame were designed. The stiffness reduction coefficient was established to consider the cooperative working performance between steel frame and recombinant bamboo panels, and the value of ? is 0.74.3. The three-dimensional finite element model of FSTF was established, and effects of the rotational stiffness of joint, the length of the top horizontal bar extending from top(the value of a), the height of sweeping bar, the horizontal pole's step, pacing of upright tube and X-bracing on the capacity of FSTF were investigated. The suggested value of various geometric parameters and X-bracing was presented, and FSTF height adjustment coefficient was put forward.4. Based on other researchers' results and the numerical analysis results in this paper, the governing equations for determining the effective length factor were proposed. Based on the lateral overhanging semi-rigid framework model, the calculation formula was put forward and its validity was verified by examples.
