As modern mechanical systems develop towards to the high goal of precision, speed, reliability rapidly, there is an urgent need to accurately describe the dynamic behaviors of mechanisms to meet the growing requirements of design. Kinematic joint Clearance exists widely in mechanical systems, and it will change working conditions between bodies, causing shocking, vibration and wear, what’s more, leading to the instability of mechanism. So there is a significant meaning to investigate the modeling, simulation and dynamic analysis of mechanical systems with clearance.This thesis mainly focuses on the impact of mechanisms with revolute clearance based on the case of slider-crank mechanism. First, described the model of revolute joints clearance and compared the common contact impact models from the perspective of complexity, computing efficiency and accuracy. Then embedded them into mechanical dynamic models and developed the dynamic model of mechanical systems with revolute joints. Second, based on the preceding modeling theory, this thesis established dynamics model equation of slider-crank mechanism with revolute joints, and embedded the L-N contact-impact model into ADAMS, then carried out a simulation based on the software. Investigated kinds of factors related to revolute joint clearance on the impact of slider-crank mechanism, such as clearance and its size, stiffness, friction, damp, crank velocity and flex body, which provides a basic method and idea to research the impact of revolute joint clearance to mechanical systems. Finally, Adopting Monte-Carlo random sampling technique, this thesis developed the reliability model of slider-crank mechanism with revolute joint clearance considering the impact of bodies’ random parameters and clearance size distribution, and then computed the reliability of slider’s displacement, velocity and acceleration, which determined the impact range of all bodies’ size parameters.Investigating the methods of modeling, simulation, and dynamic analysis of Slider-Crank mechanisms as a database research is worthy thing, which provides a theoretical method and reference for the study of the impact of other joint clearance on the dynamic characteristics of bodies.
