This paper investigates the effects of rough surface on textured clearance revolute joints,and develops a mixed lubrication model and a contact force model suitable for textured clearance revolute joints.Through theoretical analysis,the influence of the parameters of the textured surface structure on the kinematic and dynamic performance of the mechanism is studied,providing a theoretical basis for the design and application of textured clearance revolute joints.The following aspects are mainly studied:(1)A mixed lubrication model was established to analyze the tribological performance of textured clearance revolute joints.The model was established based on the average flow model,reconstructed with the microscale and macroscale of the textured revolute joints,using statistical methods to characterize the roughness scale.The bearing capacity of the rough surface micro protuberance and the lubricant oil film were combined,and the tangential friction and viscous shear force were used to study the effect of the rough surface on the hybrid lubrication.The results show that with the increase of the Ra value of the rough surface,the bearing capacity of the oil film,the friction force,and the friction coefficient increased.(2)Based on the improved Winkler contact mode,a contact force model for textured clearance revolute joint was established.This model accounted for the deformation of both the rough surface and base body contact,thus providing a more accurate representation of the contact-collision process.The established model was validated by comparing its numerical solution results with those of finite element simulations using Abaqus.Moreover,the study of the influence of surface roughness parameters on the revolute joint contactcollision process revealed that rough surface decreases the contact stiffness and increases the energy dissipated during the process.(3)A dynamic model of the crank slider mechanism with clearance was developed,incorporating the hybrid lubrication model and contact force model.The influence of rough surface Ra value,surface texture area,and input speed on the dynamic performance of the mechanism were analyzed.It was found that the incorporation of rough surface can improve the acceleration and contact force of the mechanism,however,the effect on the mechanical system can be either positive or negative depending on the roughness size.Consequently,it is necessary to select appropriate parameters when designing the profile of the revolute joint’s contact surface,based on the specific working conditions.
