Research On Airworthness Management Of The Material Suppliers For Aircraft Manufacturers

Airworthiness is the inherent quality of the aircraft which ensure the safe flight under the expected environmental and operating restrictions, is the need of public interest, but also the requirements of the aviation industry. Airworthiness standards are the minimum safety standards to ensure the airworthiness of the aircraft, so the safe operation of the aircraft can not be separated with airworthiness. Currently, the main aircraft manufacturers are responsible for aircraft design and assembly tasks, and most of the parts are supplied by vendors around the world. Mismanagement of the suppliers will cause incalculable damage, maybe impact the the delivery period of main manufacturer, even lead to plane crash, and threaten others' lives. However, the materials need certifidate with the aircraft, because CAAC does not issue airworthiness certificate for materials separately. Therefore, airworthiness management and control of the material suppliers is particularly important.Therefore, the status of supplier airworthiness management for aeronautical materials are made with SWOT, on the basis of the study on the terms related to supplier management and control the airworthiness regulations and procedure requirements of FAA, EASA and CAAC, and relevant literature of domestic and foreign. That on the basis of which material suppliers selection indicator system of aircraft manufacturers is established, combined with airworthiness requirements in airworthiness regulations for aviation materials; secondly, the supplier selection and evaluation methods was studied, focusing on the analysis hierarchy process and BP neural network model, and AHP-BP neural network model is constructed for supplier selection, and analyzed through empirical; then, the management criteria of the material suppliers are determined by Pareto analysis, and suppliers were graded according to the performance results, adopting different management strategies for different levels of suppliers; finally, a vendor management platform is established on the basis of the material supplier management processes, accomplishing vendor information inquiries, supplier information changes, supplier selection and supplier performance assessment.
