| With the continuous expansion of the aviation maintenance, aviation maintenance industry has adopted the condition based maintenance which is also called the CBM model.As the consequence of that, the need of maintenance personnel becomes more and more keen.Acting as the core of the aircraft maintenance, the maintenance personnel of whom the ability of adaptation and the outstanding achievement, on a certain extent, fundamentally affects the development and the revolution of the air transportation. As the result of those, it is highly important to settle the model of the competency of maintenance personnel.In recent years, Human Performance Technology(HPT) has been widely used in various industries, but has rarely been used for investigating the maintenance personnel competency model.According to the theory of the subject competency model and construction methods,concept of the competency model is introduced in the paper. The relationship between the individual ability and individual performance is mainly discussed. In this article the structure of the model which reflects the competency of maintenance personnel is studied with the help of literature, surveys and behavioral event interview. On the basis of the competency model of civilian staff and technical staff, the survey is formed which indicates the structure of the maintenance personnel to explore the civil aviation maintenance the ability to model the structure of personnel competency. Exploratory factor analysis is used in the maintenance personnel research, with the result of which, the competency model consisted by four dimensions and 15 factors is developed. Relations among maintenance personnel capacity factors are tested through the developed Structural Equation Model of maintenance personal competency.The competency model is widely used in human resource management. This model is mainly build to be used as personnel evaluation, training, and performance assessment to provide the basis for theory and methods for the enterprise selection, training and evaluation of maintenance personnel. |
