Researching On The Architectural Decoration Characteristics Of The Jidu Temple In The Context Of Jishui Culture

"Worship and military are the big event of the country".Fete and guarding the country is equally important event in the ancient society. The ancients deemed mountains and rivers as gods, expecting for god's blessing through ritual activities. Among them, god sacrifice of the Five Mountains, the Four Seas, four blaspheme is defined as the country's sacrifice. All previous dynasties emperors worshiped the famous mountains and great rivers to reveal the rationality of the "divine right of Kings" and achieve the goal of enlightening politics and consolidating the regime. Therefore, it occupies an important position in ancient buildings in China that the construction of altars and temples for ritual activities is also equally revered.Jidu temple is one of the largest and best preserved building of du temple build by the emperor's command in ancient. This article set Jidu temple as the research subject in the cultural perspective view of Jishui, which is supplemented by ancient architecture, history, folklore, religion, art and other related discipline knowledge, focusing on building's decoration features in Jidu temple as in-depth research. Firstly, the author deduce the relations between the three loop symbiosis(Jishui, Jidu temple and Jiyuan) through consulting relevant literature and historical data, making investigations on-the-spot and visiting the related cultural relics department, meanwhile integrating the history, culture style and other relevant information about Jidu temple and it's region's jiyuan; Secondly, it refines the architectural features of Jidu temple and makes mapping analysis,comparing with several representative ancient buildings on the basis of a comprehensive understanding of the background of Jidu temple as far as possible. Then the cause of its characteristics analyzed by combining with the historical, political, economic, cultural and other factors. It is summarized through combining with the perspective of Jishui culture that the cultural aesthetic characteristics of architectural decoration features and the containing value of the historical, aesthetic, cultural and realistic level. Finally the subsequent space of the research is discussed in this paper.
