The rotor is the key component of rotating machinery, rotor imbalance is a major part of mechanical failure, especially the high-speed rotating equipment. High speed imbalance rotor, will have a greater centrifugal force, resulting in mechanical vibration,, noise, body damage and even threaten personal safety. At present, the small amount of unbalance of structure substantially symmetrical rotor due to manufacturing or installation errors, you can eliminate by on-site balancing.However, for complex, asymmetric, high-speed, high-quality laying head rotor, can be use on-site balancing method to reach balanced state theoretically. But a large initial unbalance may cause the counterweight can't be fixed to a reasonable position of the rotor during on-site balancing. Therefore, we must eliminate the rotor unbalance after the functional and structural design, during the design phase. This topic is based on the horizontal project of Chongqing University and a consulting company, in view of the above problems from the following several aspects of research:(1)Through the study of the vibration test and spectrum analysis of laying head prototype, find out the main cause of vibration. By using the dynamics theory of laying head rotor, through analyzing the structure of laying head, the traditional analytical calculation and finite element modal analysis, calculating the critical speed, and get the vibration mode of the laying head prototype, acquired the properties of the laying head rotor;(2) By using Solidworks software to create three-dimensional model of laying head rotor, and make a reasonable simplification, By harmonic responses analysis, to study rotor sensitivity in a given amount of unbalance by using finite element pre-processing software MSC.Patran and Samcef Rotor solver, combining with the laying head structure got the right balance plane;(3)With the basic theory of rigid rotor dynamic balance, accurately calculate the size and phase angle of the weights of the specified equilibrium plane,making the vibration indicators of laying head of high speed indicators meet the design requirements in the highest job rotation speed;(4)Based on the theoretical research, using Visual Studio software development platform, combined with the Solidworks API programming, developed a software for dynamic balance analyzing of the laying head rotor.By studying this subject, following the approach in this article, LHCD20 laying head rotor just need 2 to 3 hours of on-site dynamic balance, reached the design requirements. This balanced approach has more important practical engineering value, can be used to guide the design of the rotor and on-site dynamic balance.
