3D Printing is a new type of manufacturing technology which has been developed rapidly in recent years,it plays an irreplaceable role in the fields of aerospace, military, industrial, medical, construction, clothing, art, archaeology, etcwith the advantages of complex structure and high efficiency integrated forming. German “Industrial 4” and“Chinese Manufacturing 2025” is put forward, which shows an important status of intelligent 3D Printing in the global high-end equipment manufacturing industry. Therefore, the research on 3D Printing manufacturing mechanical parts and innovative free design(design for additive manufacturing,DFAM) method can not only guide the development of 3D Printing technology and the equipment, but also the way which must be passed under the development trend of manufacturing industry.The main contents and innovations of this paper are as follows:The first of all, A systematic study on the theory of 3D Printing is carried out, arrive at a conclusion that combined with 3D Printing technology and product innovation design is the inevitable trend of the 3D Printingera.Secondly,based on 3D Printing free design ideas and value engineering function analysis method, put forward the concept of 3D Printing product innovative free design,researchthe application of 3D Printing technology in the field of mechanical design and manufacture,andanalyzed the innovative structure design of the four major parts of machinery(Shaft type, Box type, Cover plate type, Fork frame type) by the idea of free design(DFAM).Thirdly,Took mechanical hydraulic valve block, crankshaft and the belt conveyor head cover 3 typical mechanical parts as an example, functional analyzed every part, and using the innovative free design method, obtained the integral structure of the hydraulic valve block optimization pipeline and lightweight block, optimization processing method of integrated molding for crankshaft, and the optimize structure of transfer station head cover in free assembly manufacturing. The superiority of 3D Printing technology to the design and manufacture of mechanical parts is verified.Finally, the implementation and evaluation of the innovative free design machine parts are carried out by the physical model of the actual printing operation.Get the feedback of the application of 3D Printing technology.This paper explores the innovative design concept combining 3D Printing and mechanical design and manufacturing, strives to expand a new situation that 3D Printing processing machinery.As the starting point of the theory of mechanical innovation design system, hopinga in-depth study, and the formation of a certain scale and system.
