With the vigorous development of China aviation industry, the surge in demand and the production cycle significantly be shorted, the quickly response in the aircraft manufacturing process has become an important goal of the modern aviation industry construction and an urgent problem of aviation business as well, wherein the computer modeling, simulation and optimization based on virtual reality technology to become one of the key technology of aircraft digital manufacturing. Different from mature discrete manufacturing system such as automobile manufacturing, the basic research of virtual modeling, simulation and optimization in the pre-study and assessment phase of the production line in aircraft manufacturing industry is relatively lacking in our country. In order to achieve system planning, forecasting and evaluation, and to achieve real-time monitoring and precise management of aircraft manufacturing process, this paper carry out technical studies for the modeling, simulation and balance optimization of aircraft pulse production lines with the support of National Defense Basic Scientific Research, to breakthrough multi-level modeling theory and the balance optimization technique in manufacturing system based on the simulation model for aircraft pulse production lines, the main research contents are as follows:Firstly, analyzed and summarized the business characteristics of the aircraft pulse production line, studied the multi-level modeling theory combined with traditional discrete manufacturing system modeling theory.Secondly, studied the relationship between multi-level model and PPRS model of DELMIA V6, analyzed the problems of aircraft pulse production line which need to be solved by simulation, and built the simulation model in DELMIA V6 platform with basic data. After simulation and analysis, this paper point out performance bottlenecks of the current aircraft pulse production line.Thirdly, according to the requirement of laborers allocation optimization, the paper proposed an IGA optimization algorithm and expounded the principle and steps. Then an example has been carried out to verify the effectiveness of IGA.Finally, based on research results above, this paper studied the system develop with DELMIA V6 platform, designed the system function framework for the manufacturing process and developed the modeling, simulation and optimization prototype system of the aircraft pulse production line.
