With the change of social demand and people's way of thinking, great changes have taken place in public's aesthetic notions. However, the public's participation in the process of design are little, especially in the area of aesthetic plant landscape design of urban green space. This paper attempts to study plant design by introducing landscape aesthetic theory from quantitative analysis of vegetation structure index based on public's aesthetic notions.By investigating the composition of green space in Xuzhou, Using the scenic beauty estimation of psychophysics evaluation model in the assessment of landscape, it estimates the scenic beauty of 40 samples and adopts SPSS to analyze data. The main conclusions are as follows: 1. The green space plant landscape in Xuzhou are mainly deciduous and evergreen broad-leaved forest and mixed broadleaf-conifer forest. The number of the plants species is quite rich and the species of arbor are mainly native trees. The hierarchical structure of the plants largely consists of four layers, including megaphanerophyte, dungarunga, shrub, and ground cover. 2. Through analyzing single sample K-S test, Friedman test and one-way ANOVA analysis from scores of students and citizens, it proves that the judgment criteria of these two groups of different background are consistent. In the later experiment, for the convenience of the questionnaire statistics, we directly select the group of students as the valuators. 3. The reliable and stable predictors of Xuzhou green space plant landscape are made up of the abundance of arbor species, the arbor coverage, the arbor cluster coefficient and the abundance of shrub species.According to the above conclusions, put forward the overall optimization of plant landscape design and the optimization of vegetation structure in plant landscape. To provide a theoretical reference for the construction of city green space, and improve the science and art of landscaping plants.
