Study On Plant Landscape Of Birds Habitat In Urban Green Space At City Parks In Hangzhou

With the acceleration of the urbanization process in Hangzhou,the construction demand of urban greening is contradicted with the needs of other biological habitats,and the protection of biodiversity is becoming more and more important for the health of urban ecosystem in Hangzhou.The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between bird population and plant community,plant habitat and plant landscape,and to explore the habitat function of landscape planning based on bird attraction and protection.By constructing bird habitat in urban parks with the construction of plant landscape,we can realize the purpose of attracting and protecting a variety of bird species and the purpose of increasing the number of birds.From February in 2017 to March in 2018,I conducted investigations on bird populations and plant communities in four urban parks,including the Hangzhou Botanical Garden,the Huagang Guanyu Park,the Prince Bay Park and the Maojiabu Scenic Area.On the bird survey,survey and observation of bird species and bird populations were conducted by using the line-intercept method and quadrate method;On the plant survey,I investigate the plant species,plant communities,and plant habitats in the urban parks through the quadrate method,and tried to analyze the factors that may influent the bird species and the distribution of bird population,and to explore the relationship between different plant habitats and bird habitats.Based on the ecological habits of birds,I put forward to principles and strategies of construction of plant landscape which is suitable for bird habitat and survival in urban green space.The main research results are as follows: 1)A total of 94 species of birds were recorded,belonging to 14 orders and 38 families.Among them,the most common are resident birds,accounting for 42 species,accounting for 44.7% of the total number,followed by winter migrants(28 species),summer migrants(14 species),migrant birds and passing migrants(10 species).The order of bird species richness in the four urban parks from the highest level is the Hangzhou Botanical Garden(76 species)> the Maojiabu Scenic Area(60 species)> the Huagang Guanyu Park(56 species)> the Prince Bay Park(41 species).The diversity of bird population in urban parks in Hangzhou shows the characteristics of periodic fluctuations,but it is stable generally.2)Different types of habitat in urban parks in Hangzhou provides good natural conditions for birds to feed,to inhabit,to breed and to nest.According to the habitat type and plant characteristics,the habitats of birds are divided into five categories: jungle,sparse forest,shrub,lawn and water habitat.The results of the study show that there are significant differences in the distribution of bird populations in different habitats.From the point of view of plant vertical structure,the number of bird species observed in the tree layer was the largest.From the point of view of plant level habitat,the woodland and shrub habitat was the most concentrated area to birds,and the tree-shrub-turfgrass community structure of the jungle habitat has the highest number of bird species.The level of human disturbance from high to low is: the Prince Bay Park> the Huagang Guanyu Park> the Hangzhou Botanical Garden> the Maojia buScenic Area.3)Looking at the distribution of bird populations in urban parks in Hangzhou and the landscape greening of bird habitats,I propose that it is suitable for the construction of green space in urban parks in Hangzhou and to meet the need of bird habitats in plant species application and construction of plant landscape.The strategies for the construction of plant landscape are mainly as follows:(1)Advocate a variety of habitat landscape models for birds;(2)Select to strengthen the relationship between bird habitats and other factors;(3)Upgrade management level in bird habitat;(4)Pay attention to the target bird recruitment and protection.Finally,I put forward to five perspectives on the future construction of bird habitat in urban parks:(1)Improve the ecological benefits assessment mechanism;(2)Form a multi-scale bird recruitment target;(3)Link to multidisciplinary innovation research methods;(4)Strengthen the awareness of biodiversity conservation;(5)Expand the habitat function of different types of urban green space.
