As the power unit of aircraft, aero-engine's reliability is directly related to the safety of the aircraft and the passengers. At present, most of the aircraft companies monitor the state of engine by detecting the important parameters of engine. This paper developed a vibration monitoring software to detect the operating statement of aero-engine rotor, according to the analysis of aircraft's vibration characters.This paper analyzes aero-engine's vibration characters, mechanism of rotor fault and its corresponding vibration signal characteristics. Then it studied the vibration signal processing method and summarized engine rotor's fault phenomena under different kind of analysis method. According to these phenomena, this paper designed an engine-rotor vibration monitoring software, and completed software development using C# on Visual Studio 2010 platform. The functions of this software including: user management, data collection, signal analysis and database storage. The signal analysis function includes time domain waveform analysis, spectrum analysis, orbit analysis and power spectrum analysis. Database is developed based on Access 2007, whose main function is to store data for the establishment of fault diagnosis knowledge base. At the same, this paper built a rotor experiment platform in the laboratory, and this platform is used to test the function of the new-developed software.
