The reliability of aviation equipment refers to the ability of aviation equipment to complete the specified function in prescribed condition and time.It is an inherent attribute given by design and manufacturing. It has the characteristics of comprehensive and multiplicity. The reliability work should be run through the whole process of engine design, production use and maintenance.Aero-engine condition monitoring and fault diagnosis technology is an integrated technology. It not only monitors and evaluates engine working status, trend and engine life management, but it is also an important technical means to ensure the safe and reliable operation of engine. At present, monitoring technology has developed into an independent discipline. With the continuous optimization of monitoring methods, its application is becoming more extensive and perfect.Besides,it has achieved good results. In this paper, the application and development of aero-engine monitoring technology is studied based on a double-rotor turbofan engine with year of experience. The main contents of this paper are as follows: firstly, this paper analyses the principle of the current aeroengine monitoring technology and presents the method to reduce or even eliminate the error of monitoring data by means of mathematical optimization such as least squares method. The application and technical difficulties of the monitoring technology of the gas-path analysis technology, the vibration value analysis technology, the oil analysis and the non-destructive testing technology in the aero-engine condition monitoring are summarized and analyzed. And some typical fault phenomena and the oil sampling period of this type engine are found when using the engine in high altitude area. The typical fault phenomena and the oil sampling cycle are carried out deep-level principle analysis, such as the overheating and the rotation speed don't follow, the vibration problem caused by the loosening of the double-headed fixed bolt and the hot bending of the rotor. And some technical guidance methods were put forward.Secondly, the limitations of the existing monitoring technology in the application of this type of engine are analyzed and summarized. The author analyzes the feasibility and operation method of the new monitoring technology, such as total work function, remote monitoring technology and infrared technology to resolve these problems. Finally, taking life management as an example, the reliability of the monitoring technology in the situation-based maintenance is studied. And improved methods were put forward.
