Radio navigation system is an important component in modern airborne electronic system. In online and overall debugging of radio navigation system, it always requires cooperation of multiple ground stations and airborne equipment,which greatly decreases efficiency and flexibility during debugging process.Therefore, the current widely used radio navigation hardware in the loop simulation technology. In the laboratory environment, the radio navigation system can be online and the overall debugging, testing system vulnerabilities and to correct, to improve the system function.Take radio navigation system including VOR, MKR, ADF and ILS, as our research object, this article designs and implements an integrated RF exciter for airborne radio navigation system using software radio technology. Simulation results illustrates that the proposed integrated RF exciter can produce kinds of excitation signals required in the debugging process, and greatly improves the flexibility and efficiency of debugging for airborne radio navigation system. This navigation RF excitation equipment possesses the characteristics of authenticity, universality and scalability.First, the principle of radio navigation, navigation component functions and signal model is analyzed; Second, the navigation RF excitation will be modeled,Second, according to the functional requirements of the navigation RF excitation model, the hardware scheme is designed, including PXI chassis as the main body structure, internal embedded industrial personal computer, frequency synthesis card and RF card. Then a hardware experiment platform is completed. On the hardware platform of navigation RF excitation software development, we will design the software architecture and the software modular division, so that the software is designed in detail. Finally, the test environment of navigation RF excitation is completed. AV4033 B type spectrum analyzer was used to measure the RF excitation of navigation VOR, RF excitation of navigation MKR, RF excitation of navigation ILS and RF excitation of navigation ADF. And we will study on analysis of test data.
