Radio navigation is an important navigation method, with a lot of advantage, such as free of time and weather s constraint, accurate, continuous and real-time orientation. VHF navigation system is an important part of radio navigation, providing important parameters including magnetic bearing, navigation deviation and to or from ground station, as well as providing guidance information to ensure the safety of aircraft approach and landing under conditions of poor weather or visibility. In many avionics research and experiments, it s essential to do research and simulation aiming at VHF navigation system. In particular, the degree of flight simulators depends on VHF navigation system model building and simulation.We, aiming at VHF navigation, will establish the mathematic model based on Software-Defined Radio theory and the hardware model based on FPGA technology, simulating the whole process of generating the signals from the ground station, receiving and transiting the message by the airplane equipment, and ultimately sending the parameter signals to the terminals. On the one hand, we analyze the principle and function of VHF navigation system, build semi-physical simulation modeling. On the other hand, supplying the real-time VHF navigation signals to other avionics equipments accord with aviation industry-standard.This VHF navigation signal platform has the following advantages: firstly, we build semi-physical model instead of mathematical module, communicating with avionics system. Secondly, simulate the working principle and process by setting parameters, enhancing the signal platform s flexibility. In addition, manage ground station database and modules to make the platform work orderly.
