Relay is a common powered electronic control device having switching characterist ics. The use of advanced automatic assembly technique and control technology is an important measure for enterprises to improve the level of production for relay. Based on the planning scheme of the automatic production line for relay, the assembly mechanism and the test for control system of relay have been designed in this paper.This paper firstly describes the importance of the assembly technique in the manufactur i ng process for product, and analyzes the latest research of automatic assembly technique. It describes the enterprise proposed design task and make a systematic plan about the research contents in the paper.Secondly based on the working principle of relay, it describes the structural function of the various components in the composition of relay. By analyzing the whole manufacturing process of relay, the assembly technique has been separated. After establishing the principles and methods for assembly mechanism design of relay, the assembly mechanism design scheme is then put forward.Then this paper analyzes and compares the two module design methods: "decomposit io n of the product mechanism structure" and “division of the mechanism function". Combined with the assembly technique of relay, the main function mechanism of the assembly mechanism of relay has been divided. There is a common method for mechanism design that uses both "transfer of standard mechanical design" and "non-standard mechanical design". Combined with the reliable mechanical design experiences conducted by the enterprise, major functio n mechanisms have been designed. And the work flow of these mechanism has been analyzed.Based on the principle of mechanical assembly, the relationship between the submechanisms has been set. And the complete assembly of assembly mechanism of relay has been finished. This paper analyzes the process of mechanical design, describes the method of assessment of mechanism design and in particular explain the procedure to achieve the "event-based simulation" for analysis of motion. The assessment for assembly mechanism of relay has been finished by using Motion tool plugged in the SolidWorks. The animation simulated the assembly process of relay has been gotten. By observing the animation, rationality of mechanical design and feasibility of prototype have been verified.Finally it describes the test principle for relay, the scheme of control system is designed to test the relay. The hardware part of relay test system with the core of PLC has been designed. Analyzing of the work flow in various work stations or part, the program design of relay test system has been finished combined with sequential function control design method and empirical design method. And by repeatedly testing physical prototypes, the control system attains the function of relay.This paper has designed the assembly mechanism of relay and the control system of relay test, basically meet the design requirement of the enterprise.
