Recently, the popularity of automobile ABS(Anti-lock Braking System) system, greatly improved traffic safety, however, with the promotion of ABS braking system, it becomes problematic to detect the ABS system performance and its’ braking performance of work under the ABS mode. Because it is difficult to accurately test or equivalent simulate the vehicles’ real situation of its inertia braking, road adhesion coefficient vector parameters due to the independence, vulnerable to interference, randomness, high RSD of the test.Currently, the research of ABS braking performance mainly focuses on the correlation of vehicle body speed and wheel speed. And most R & D work still remain at theoretical hypothesis and simulation, lack of real practice and hardly provide a solid conclusion for test due to various reasons, which resulted in poor accuracy of ABS detection results. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a practical and valid ABS braking performance testing platform.Referring to existing braking performance test results, combined with ABS principles and requirements, analyzed the limitations of current ABS braking performance inspection method based on RSD evaluation,This paper mainly focuses on following four aspects trying to solve the current ABS braking problem and the issue of high testing RSD results encountered. First, by analyzing the vehicle mechanical and vibration model, it has improved bench testing bench roller drum size and the method of connection and drive; designed drum inertia to meet the detection of ABS braking characteristics, and used the moment of inertia drum line speed to simulate vehicle inertia and its’ body translation speed with the equivalent inertia detection method. Second, coating different coefficient materials on the surface of inertia drum, simulated ABS off, butt and reverse complex road situation that are required by ABS inspection depending on the work order and cycle period. Third, it studied real diving conditions braking performance by designed the gantry dynamic fixed mode, ensuring an accurate loading equivalent objectivity during the detection of vehicle. The design of experiment includes four sets of two type comparative RSD analysis, draw a reliable conclusion of this thesis ABS braking performance test results of RSD detection methods. Fourth, this paper has improved the experimental methods. The conclusion is draw based on the use of pressure changes within ABS system pipe to measure the vehicle maximum braking strength, the RSD comparison among test data, standard data and other qualified bench test data. The method used in this thesis about ABS braking performance inspection showed more reliable and advantage; the RSD from test results would be smaller than other methods, the detection precision is better than other methods.
