People’s Park is a typical product in Chinese garden history, which produced by the special social and political background, has a huge symbolic significance and universal appeal. People’s Park is a park of serving the people, to build a large number of at the beginning of the establishment of China, from the old garden changed its name to also have new People’s Park, intended to express people is the main body of new China, people experienced feudal society, semi colonial and semi feudal society, finally has belongs to the park in their own right in accordance with their wishes of construction. Most People’s Park is located in the city with the longest history, the largest and the most influential of the park. It is not only people’s leisure entertainment places, is a symbol of the spirit of the masses of the people, People’s Park has a special significance in the history of modern Chinese.However the "People’s Park" is a so prevalent phenomenon, in the previous studies, there is only single People’s Park with unilateral research, there has never been a systematic and overall research to the people’s Park. This thesis embarks from the angle of historical changes of People’s Park, to the People’s Park produce background, People’s Park’s construction and development in each period with comprehensive systematic analysis, attempts to explore and mining the development of people’s Park, change process and its influencing factors, and people’s Park significance.This thesis has a time range from 1949 to 1978, according to the important policies of different periods of political, economic and social background, which influence on landscape development, the 1949 to 1978 is divided into four stages: three years of recovery period(1949-1952), "first five year plan" period(1953-1957), the great leap forward and retreat period(1958-1965), the cultural revolution and the end of the period(1966-1978).Combined with the geographic range of research, locked the 16 people’s Park Case nationwide as the research object. Based on the historical document data and previous research results, using literature analysis, field research method and case study method, firstly summarizes from the emergence,the distribution and types of the people’s Park, repeat cleaning the period division of the study object; and then carding and analysis on the aspects of People’s Park cases’ construction background, garden style, landscape facilities, functional layout; and to summarize the People’s Park’s process of development and changes in the park, nature, gardening ideas, functional layout, garden elements, the role of city and service condition, summarized the influence of development and changes with the four factors: political factors, economic factors, social factors and cultural factors; finally summed up the People’s Park is people’s spiritual sustenance, with the strengthening of national consciousness, the special significance of heritage culture, and reflects the history of China’s modern park construction bright era significance. |
