With the maturity of the domestic QAR data research and airlines use QAR data exploration deepening, unable to get a lot of QAR engineering data has become the biggest obstacle of theoretical studies and practical applications. Currently decoding softwares for domestic use on the one hand is purchased from abroad. There is a problem in term of cost and data security. On the other hand, for some limitations in function, these softwares unable to meet a large number of automatic continuous decoding of the original files. Based on these two issues, developing an autonomy system of QAR automatic decoding is indispensable.This paper starts with describing the flight data acquisition, transmission and storage,and this is the theoretical basis for the study of coding techniques. Then proceed from the principle of the decoding. The existing coding techniques and the decoding software are analysed and researched for which currently widely used. Basing on the existing problems,this paper proposed a design idea of QAR automatic decoding system. The information of conversion parameters of LFD file that included by Lfledit is analysed and verified, read and stored in the computer. And the library information of decoding parameter which is suitable for the automatically decoding system is established. Additionally, the features of this system include that add the parameters which need to be decoded to the template and achieve the goal of automatically decoding of multiple raw files based on decoding of single raw data file.Finally, this system established by writing a program in language of C++ and introduced and tested through its basic functions. And the decoding results are verified to ensure accuracy of the results of its verification. The overall findings of this paper will lay the foundation for subsequent analysis.
