Design Strategy Of College Girls’ Dormitory Based On The Method Of Semantic Differential

Accompanied by a design more refinement, the development trend of humanization, feminist theory of architecture is more and more attention by people. As long-term homogenization, the same user, people gradually pay attention to the gender differences between men and women caused by different demand for architectural functions and space differences. In architectural design standardization, industrialization will erase the different needs of today, femin ine strategy of the construction industry is put forward for the further development of architectural design to provide the possibility of a worth exploring. As the research object, choose the girl’s dormitory is not only to the current our country univers ity dormitory needs to improve the design of the standard and design strategies, at the same time very good accord with the feminist architecture emphasizes the attention to daily life space.This paper through the literature reading and finishing, as well as the development of feminism, architecture at home and abroad research situation and existing problems of university dormitory design strategy to comb, at the same time comparing the differences between male and female college students’ psychology and behavior in detail, summarizes the female and male difference space perception, divided into the following four points: space belonging differences, the differences in space and feeling a sense of security and space differences, for the following dorm field investigation and questionnaire design theory. Next, this article through to the use of SD semantic analysis method, combining with field investigation, respectively for girls and boys living in the dormitory has carried on the questionnaire survey, and U SES the basic statistical methods and factor analysis on the questionnaire data and statistics, according to the dormitory, gender, and evaluation of different girls dormitory comparison between each other, and finally use factor analysis to questionnaire about 27 items in dimension reduction processing, the four factors after analysis and naming, becoming the fourth girl’s dormitory design strategy in chapter four, they are:(1) the dormitory building planning and safety factor;(2) the overall comfort and a sense of belonging;(3) the basic physiological needs and position sense factor;( 4) bedroom atmosphere as well as the sense factor. Four design strategies are:(1) to improve the building and planning to enhance security;(2) improve the overall comfort level to enhance the sense of belonging;(3) attaches great importance to the physiological differences between clear position sense;( 4) bedroom atmosphere respect sense.This paper hope through the research on the design strategy of the university girl’s dormitory, arouse the architect in the architectural design of gender consciousness, as well as to the design using people fine divided consciousness, break the standardization of modern architecture, industrial design program, for the development of the architectural design of multiple a worth exploring direction.
