Shenzhen Shangmeilin Urban Complex Ecological Design Study

With the quickening of the urbanization process and the increasing of urban land value, high-rise buildings are springing up in cities, and increasingly becoming the main form of office buildings. At the same time, as the improvement of people’s mm demand on spiritual culture, theatrical buildings are also gradually making their entry into our cities and our lives, becoming the cultural symbol of certain district or certain city. However, enormous energy consumption that come with them, especially the pressure on surrounding transportation and effect on urban environment that high-rise buildings impose, cannot be neglected. In that way, my thesis pays attention to how to decrease the energy consumption, create the delightful and comfortable office space and performing-spectating space and the public space that combine both of them.The paper begins with the brief description of origin and current situation of high-rise buildings and theatrical buildings, specifies the research object that both of their ecological design methods, also extensive literature survey, field investigations, case study and generalizations are adapted as the research methods, to intensely study the topic.Chapter two has touched on high-rise buildings and theatrical buildings’ characteristics and ecological design methods in architectural form, skin, space, energy-saving strategies such aspects By collecting materials and perusing literature.Chapter three mainly has a intensive research on five cases and analyzes the project overview in site layout, architectural form, ecological design methods, audience hall design such aspects, as well as summarize some experiences and design methods, and all of them can be a steppingstone for my diploma project that behind.Combined with the actual situation of the project, up-front analysis of the project’s site, transportation situation, surrounding environment and landscape resource such aspects, Chapter four brings up the proper design conception and emphasizes the scheme’s generation process.Through the study of relevant theories and excellent cases, and exercising and testing in my diploma project design process, the paper has a brief summary on high-rise buildings and theatrical buildings’ ecological design methods, hope it can give some references for later designs.
