| In recent years, with the progress of civilization, the concern for people with disabilities has become an important factor in civilization, on the basis of barrier-free urban environmental construction has been a strong improved, while the urban pedestrian crossing accessible facilities building is an important part of the construction of urban accessibility, the symbol of civilization, and the social development. City Pedestrian Crossing is an important channel for residents traffic pass, different people have different needs, crossing facilities directly determine the resident’s security and comfort in the crossing the street process. However, many the urban pedestrian crossing accessible facilities building are imperfect, even don’t have accessible facilities, which impaired great inconvenience for residents to travel. Thus, the city pedestrian street design should be made higher, with more reasonable request to meet the different needs of different social groups, urban pedestrian crossing accessible facilities building is pressing.The strategy of pedestrian crossing accessible facilities building is the main concept of this research. Firstly, clarify concepts of urban Pedestrian accessibility system, classify crowd barriers, to satisfy the different needs of the specific characteristics of different people and their different obstacles in pedestrian crossing the street and encounter the main obstacles. Secondly, analyze the current situation and development of domestic and overseas people pedestrian accessibility construction, sums up the advanced theory and practical experience. Secondly, access the research of pedestrian crossing situation street and summarize the main issues existing in Wuhan, propose the main content of street barrier-free design index system for pedestrian crossing and the people’s accessible crossing the main framework for infrastructure construction and management policies. Finally, as an example to Wuhan Optical Valley’s pedestrian crossing facilities building, through field research, learn from the overpass barrier-practice cases of advanced concepts, in-depth analyze the behavior and characteristics of the different needs of different groups, from the overall construction of the urban accessibility of view, the Optical Valley’s pedestrian crossing accessible facilities environment to make specific improvement design. Based on pedestrian accessible design in the city application demonstration, made a personal point of view the existing problems, to improve the urban pedestrian crossing accessible facilities building design for Wuhan and brings some suggestions for other cities pedestrian accessibility building.The goal of pedestrian crossing accessible facilities design is to establish a safe, reasonable and convenient urban public street environment for the all people(including the disabled, the seniors, pregnant women, children, handicapped people) to fill love of modern living environment, and improve social harmony. |
