The general term of “Dazu Rock Carvings”refers to all the cliffside carvings and cave temples in Dazu county.In our country,Dazu Rock Carvings filled the blank of grotto art from late Tang dynasty to Song dynasty while the cave temple art went downhill in north CHina.Dazu Rock Carvings inherit and carry forward the tradition of Chinese cave temple art.To become the decline of the north grottoes and the rise of the late representative grottoes that Dazu Rock Carvings created a new-made wonder which stands as a marvelous monument of cave temple art in the word.Dazu Rock Carvings can equivalent to the cave tmple art created the wonders such as Tungang,Longmen and Maijishan Cave Temples.The UNESCO world Heritage Committee,at its 23 th session held in December 1999, decided to inscribe the Dazu Rock Carvings on the World Heritage List.Baodingshan Cave temples are the culmination and creative development of the art of cave temples of Dazu Rock Carvings that thousands of statues on tne cliff without any repetitions on subject matters.And either the ternal relationship on the religious doctrinc or the layouts between nichers are well acted in cooperation with each other,froming a complete organic ensemble.The landscape of Baodingshan Cave is unique of the other.The research object of this article is Baodingshan Cave,Dazu Rock Carvings.The content of the research is the landscape of Baodingshan Cave. “Landscape”means the human civilization areas by human defined by Tom Turner.Landscape is to have a combination of human civilization and aesthetic characteristics.In recent years, the tourism industry in promoting economic benefit.The dependence on the spirit and the pursuit of more intense.Mining the spirit implication in Chinese traditional culture and design essence, is not only from the objective to promote the effect to the cultural heritage protection and utilization. as well as the inheritance and development of Chinese civilization has special significance and value.Under the historical perspective,landscape of Baodingshan Cave has certain rationality and scientific nature.Combine with the status and problems aim to understand the design essence and solve real public.There is a symbiotic relationship betweent the landscape of Baodingshan Cave and its environment.Analysis of its social background and landscape elements and the spatial structure through On-the-spot investigation.Compared with landscape of other Caves,to clear the concept of it's landscape constructed cultural significance.Persuade persuasion to be good and take people as the foremost is Dazu Cave Temples most important conception and this conception is good for protect the world cultural heritage and think of how to build a national characteristics of modern landscape design.
