As a kind of special structure to a high-altitude, the theoretical analysis and structural calculation is different from the buildings. The shape of its foundation often designed as circular or annular. Wedge ring beam composite foundation is a patented of a firm. Since the shape of this kind of foundation is complex, it is necessary to have analysis on its stress and deformation. In this paper, the ultimate bearing capacity, the settlement and the stress of the foundation which has a ratio between the hight of the wedge ring beam and the radius of the foundation equals 4:21.6 ?we call this kind of foundation "the wedge ring beam foundation in this paper" in the following cotents? has been analyzed in ways of theoretical and numerical simulation.The main contents and results are as follows:?1?.FLAC3D is used to simulate the wedge ring beam foundation in this paper and the circular shaft foundation under the same conditions. The ultimate bearing capacity and the settlement of them are compared, and it shows that we can use the ultimate bearing capacity and the settlement of the circular shaft foundation to analyses those of the wedge ring beam composite foundation;?2?.The upper bound method and the lower bound method of ultimate bearing capacity are introduced, get the formulas has certain practical value.Under the purpose of indicating the influence of the properties of soil and the diameter of the foundation on factor k as well as relationship between k and the ultimate bearing capacity;?3?.FLAC3D is used to compare with the settlement calculated using the method recommended by the code for design of building foundation ?GB50007-2011? on the wedge ring beam foundation in this paper. And it shows that the two results come near;?4?.Stress of the soil under the wedge ring beam foundation in this paper is derived. Besides that, we have stress and deformation simulated under certain force. It shows that it contains great tensile stress at the place where the proof of the foundation contacts with the outer ring beam;?5?.The cause of the tensile stress is analyzed, and ways to optimization is introduced...
