Research And Implementation Of Mixed Signal Oscilloscope Waveform Processing And Testing

With mixed signal occupies an increasingly important position in electronic design, pure digital storage oscilloscopes can't complete testing task, which contributed to the formation of the mixed signal oscilloscope. Mixed oscilloscope is a comprehensive test instrument with both the ordinary oscilloscope for analog signal amplitude and frequency characteristics anal-ysis and Logic Analyzer for digital signal analysis functions.The subject focuses on analog waveform, including waveform operation and waveform analysis, which based on 4 channel digital oscilloscopes, the analog bandwidth is 1GHz, and the maximum sampling rate is 5GSa/s. The subject includes data processing, limiting template testing and measurement of power into three parts, the details are as follows:Wave data processing. Mathematics is the basic function of an oscilloscope, including simple arithmetic operations, as well as FFT transform. In ensuring the basic function realiza-tion of this paper, the paper presents formula editing and histogram statistics and parameter measurement based on histogram.Limiting template testing. As the oscilloscope capture rate rising, the number of pro-cessed waveform in per unit of time is also increasing. To test the quality of waveform or catch the exception waveform in huge amounts of data, we build standard templates or cus-tomize templates according waveform to improve efficiency in waveform analysis.Measurement of power. In modern systems, DC power structure is switch-mode power supply, in order to ensure the efficient operation of power in a long time, the power supply needs to be tested and analyzed. This paper provides five test functions about switching power supply, the intuitive power quality parameters can be get in a short period of time.The designed functions have been implemented on mixed oscilloscope and run steadily.
