According to the requirements of zero leakage about low temperature, high temperature, high pressure, high radioactive and toxic medium in the field of aerospace, aviation, nuclear power, chemical industry, this paper developed a magnetic driver used for fully shielded valve, on the purpose of solving the problem about rocket engine valve stem seal leakage. Combined with the characteristics of actual operating conditions of the valve, the torque output performance and working reliability of the magnetic driver were researched.Based on the finite element method, the finite element analysis model of the valve sealing pair was built. On the basis of ensuring the sealing performance of the valve, this paper has calculated the ball valve seal friction torque accurately. The impact on friction torque of sealing ring pressure angle and sealing ring width were researched. The results show that the relationship between sealing ring pressure angle and friction torque is linear, the same as the sealing ring width. The change rule about seal friction torque during the process of valve open were studied. The results show that the relationship between valve open angle angle and friction torque is nonlinear, which laid the base of researches on magnetic actuator performance.Using Ansoft software, magnetic field analysis model of magnetic actuator was established. Reasonable assumptions were presented according to the distribution law of air gap magnetic field. The theoretical relationship between the output torque of the magnetic actuator and the fundamental amplitude of the air gap magnetic density was obtained. Besides, influences of various structural parameters on the torque output performance and working reliability of magnetic actuator under different opening condition of the ball valve were studied, and the range of optimal value of each parameter was obtained. The orthogonal design method was used to analyze effects of different structural parameters on the performance of magnetic actuator. Results indicated that the influence of rotor structure parameters on the torque performance of the magnetic actuator was higher than that of the stator structure parameters. According to the value range of the dimensionless structural parameter optimization, this paper provides a design method of magnetic driver used for fully shielded valve, and this design method can reduce the design cycle.Finally, a dynamic load test device for the performance test of magnetic actuator was designed, then the torque output performance and heat characteristic of the magnetic driver were researched by test method. By comparing and analyzing theoretical and experimental results, the correctness of the theoretical researches on the magnetic driver used for fully shielded valve was verified.In this paper, the magnetic driver used for fully shielded value was studied. Conclusions can provide guidance for the design and performance optimization of the valve driver. The research of this paper is important to improve the reliability of the valve using on the rocket engine. And the application range of magnetic drive technology was broaden.
