As the most directed method for achieving information, video monitoring system is able to obtain the environmental information of nuclear retirement handling facility. It has advantages in both of obtaining information from retirement handling facility where part of environmental data remains lost and improving retirement scheme in time within achieving concrete environmental information so that retirement scheme could be safer and more effective. And also, in the process of retirement handling, when the nuclear accident happens caused by unpredictable issues, video monitoring system is capable to offer situation information to decision makers promptly and effectively so that emergency respond plan could be set down rapidly and accurately and performed effectively.As the most important part of the monitoring system, guarantee the functioning of video monitoring system in different situations is the critical requirement for ensuring it's reliability and effectiveness in monitoring the working environment of nuclear facility. However,electronic parts must be consolidated because of the effect from the awfulsurroundings. Adding the outer screening structure for imaging sensor system could reduce the damage on parts caused by ionization radiation from strong radiation environment, and also, it reduces effects on sensor system from other environmental issues such as pressure, temperature.Main research contest:(1)It could be concluded from radiation damage experiment on image sensor sets that: the first part which would be damaged is digital set, but the simulation sets would not be damaged until the accumulated dose reaches 1000 Gy, light sensor functions well even the accumulated dose reaches 1000 Gy. Hence, considering the experimental result,protection for main-board should be the core;(2)Simulation model of image sensor outer screen based on MCNP5 software was established and further discussed the?ray screen protection principle of some important parameters which could effect the quality of image sensor outer screen: source-distance difference(0.5m,0.75 m,1m),principle of screen material difference(Tungsten nickel alloy, lead).According to the MCNP5 software simulation result under different conditions, the dose rate of image sensor mainboard was analytically discussed for estimating screen result of outer screen;(3)According to the simulation result of MCNP5 calculation and screen result of outer screen, design scheme of outer screen was optimized considering effect issues above synthetically so that the doserate of image sensor digital set would remain under threshold value;(4)Based on researches above, Tungsten nickel alloy, ZF701 glass and lead were selected as screen material, design scheme of image sensor outer screen was optimized.
