With the development of society and the increasing demand for steel, the requirements for the production capacity of the metallurgical industry have becoming higher and higher. The increase of social demand, promote the technological transformation and technological progress of the metallurgical enterprises, the application of large-scale converter, continuous casting and continuous rolling technology, and put forward higher requirements for the large scale and high speed of metallurgical crane.The in summing up Chaoyang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. 180/50 t casting base of structure form and the working condition of the crane, the main lifting system to carry out the transformation capacity, the main contents are as follows:(1) The main structure of the existing 180/50 t casting crane is studied and summarized. The main research is focused on the transmission scheme of the main lifting system, and the capacity expansion of 180 t to 190 t is put forward;(2) On the premise of not replacing the original reducer, That is, in the existing reducer to replace the low speed II and III shaft gears and then get a larger transmission ratio, in order to achieve a larger output torque. According to this requirement, the Solid Works software is used to carry out 3D modeling of the reducer, and the strength of the redesign of the low speed II shaft is checked, and the corresponding standard parts are calculated;(3) By using Solid Works software of 180/50 t casting hoist crane, gantry type from heavy lifting structure modeling, and the visual stress analysis, according to the results of the analysis of the original structure of the risk of the site for the strengthening design, and to strengthen the structure of the trial calculation by using ANSYS Workbench software.(4) According to the technical parameters, the breaking capacity of the hoisting rope was evaluated, and the results were re selected, and the finite element analysis and fatigue reliability analysis were carried out.
