There are distributed several taper holes which are parallel to each other on the valve barre of plunger pamps.The taper holes are often deviated from the parts surface center of symmetry and required high maching accuracy. For such parts, if we use the numerical control machine tool processing, the equipment investment is larger and it is difficult to afford for small and medium-sized enterprises. If we use ordinary lathe machining taper hole, we would difficult to adjust the workpiece to the correct position and the position precision between Holes is difficult to guarantee, so using boring machine processing taper hole is more appropriate.Aiming at this problem, the paper introduced the design of a kind of auxiliary devices used in taper hole boring. Installing it on the ordinary boring machine,then we can use the machine for boring taper holes which can have different taper and diameter. It increases the machining range of ordinary boring machine and has excellent engineering practical significance in the field of industrial technology.This paper analyzes the process characteristics of the taper hole processing,and then put forward the overall design schme of the device. It is mainly composed of boring bar group,feed coupling mechanism,indexing mechanism, brake mechanism, tool mounting base,etc. Important components, such as boring bar group and brake disc, need to be type selected, designed and calculated. On this basis, using the SolidWorks to establish the model of these parts and the whole device assembly model.According to the structural characteristics of the taper hole boring auxiliary device and the Facing head,make type selection for the mounting studs. Analysis of the distribution of bearing load on the stud group,then solve the maximum load and check calculation of the stud group.Based on ANSYS software, Important parts, such as boring bar group,feed coupling mechanism, mounting stud group, Rotatable taper shank, etc,need doing mechanical performance analysis. Among them, boring bar group need doing the conventional mechanical analysis and finite element analysis; The distribution of the equivalent stress and displacement of each component in the feed connection mechanism in the travel range needs to be calculated. Distribution and variation of friction stress between the sliding plate and the sliding block also need to be calculated.; Simplifying the whole finite element model, the mechanical performance analysis and the influence on the overall positioning accuracy of the mounting stud group which under the maximum load is discussed. According to different working conditions, the load on the Rotatable taper shank is applied. Analysis of the mechanical properties of the Rotatable taper shank and obtain the characteristics of the displacement and stress distribution. According to the above analysis results, deficiencies need to be improved in order to make the structure more reasonable.
