Hazardous materials transport vehicles scheduling is the important link to ensure the safety of hazardous materials transport, during the actual process of hazardous materials transport uncertain factors such as demand uncertainty of the demand point and risk uncertainty always exist, and these uncertainties affect hazardous materials transport safety and efficiency. When design the hazardous materials transport vehicle scheduling program, the corresponding demand information of the demand point and the data about the segment of the transport network need to know, while the hazardous materials transport scheduling program obtained under certain conditions may become unacceptable due to subtle changes occurring on the above data. Therefore, to design scientific and rational hazardous materials transport vehicles scheduling scheme in an uncertain environment and transport the hazardous materials safely, economically and efficiently transport are essential.In the paper, two aspects of the hazardous materials transport vehicles scheduling problem are studied, the hazardous materials transport vehicle scheduling under uncertain demand and the hazardous materials transport vehicle scheduling under uncertain risk. more specifically, based on uncertainties, the problem is divided into four sub-problems, i.e., single distribution center hazardous materials multi- vehicles transportation scheduling problem under uncertain demand, single distribution center hazardous materials single vehicle transportation scheduling problem under uncertain risk, single distribution center hazardous materials multi- vehicles transportation scheduling problem under uncertain risk, multi-distribution centers hazardous materials multi- vehicles transport scheduling problem under uncertain risk. According to the robust discrete optimization theory, the multi-objective robust optimization models are built considering the transportation risks and transportation costs, and then based on the characteristics of the problem itself, with the NSGA-?as the main framework to design the multi-objective genetic algorithm to solve the four sub-problems. O n demand uncertainty of single distribution center hazardous materials transportation vehicle scheduling problem, by designing coding method skillfully to make the conventional genetic operator can guarantee the feasibility of the solutions and simplify the algorithm design process; In the single distribution center hazardous materials single vehicle transportation scheduling problem under uncertain risk, proposed multi-objective genetic algorithm based on a two-stage coding method; In the single distribution center hazardous materials multi- vehicles transportation scheduling problem under uncertain risk, design the multi-objective genetic algorithm with fast sorting method to construct non-dominated solution set; besides, based on the two-stage coding method, the multi-objective genetic algorithm on the basis of three-stage coding method is proposed when designing the algorithm for solving the multi-distribution centers hazardous materials multi- vehicles transport scheduling under uncertain risk. For each sub-problem a numerical example is given and solved by the designed algorithm in the paper, the results showed that the multi-objective genetic algorithm designed can find hazardous materials transport vehicle scheduling schemes with various robust, and the results can provide certain reference for decision maker to seek out the safe, economical and robust hazardous materials transport vehicle scheduling program.
