The meter reading system is studied by means of 4G/GPRS, infrared communication, combined with software technology. The automatic data acquisition instrument, and the data was collected and processed. Data collection and transmission is the basic function of most wireless sensor network applications, good use of the advantages and technical characteristics of wireless network technology, wireless networks, intelligent management of the local electricity.This paper presents mainly is a kind of automatic meter reading network system,acquisition system consists of main station system, channel, terminal and user acquisition metering device is composed of four parts. The master system is automatic meter reading network system command center, and data acquisition and processing center, will be issued a command to the terminal, analysis of the collected information.The channel used to achieve power connection communication between master station and information acquisition terminal, transmitted through the 4G/GPRS wireless signal, transmits the data to the server. Acquisition terminal main function is electric energy meter data collected, will be required to report the data of freezing and execute the command from the server, the acquisition terminal is installed on the client, by master station monitoring and control, electric energy meter data table through the RS-485 power line carrier transmission to the collector, the collected data is stored,executive master control command or forwarded to a metering device of equipment, is an important part of the automatic reading meter system network. Communication by4G/GPRS network, and the establishment of a technical standard acquisition system and functional specification. For rural areas or can't send or receive signal collecting device fault, using infrared communication to meter.The remote meter reading system is integrated with the marketing management system, which is named as the electric energy acquisition and monitoring system. The main function of the electric energy information acquisition system is not only to collect the electric energy, but also to use the power system. System includes the electrical data acquisition, remote meter reading, negative control pre electricity,power quality monitoring, abnormal measurement monitoring, load data analysis, line loss management, report management function. At the same time, the object is also collected from the large power units, and gradually extended to small and medium power users.
