Research On The Animal Landscape Design Of The Urban Public Garden Green Space

From the beginning of garden, animals exist in the Chinese classical garden and are an important part of garden landscape. With the gradual development of Chinese classical garden, the number, variety and application forms of animals in garden also are in the gradual change. Due to all kinds of reasons, modern gardens gradually ignore the design of the animal landscape and separate the animals from gardens, which make gardens lose many natural interest and this is not in line with the concept of pursuing for simplicity of modern gardens and harmonious existence of human and nature.This thesis uses animal landscape as subject and focus on the urban public green space in the space and uses the literature research method, field research method, crossover research questionnaire research, and so on. It conducts its research according to five parts:(1) According to the development history of Chinese garden, it settles and analyzes the evolution process of animal landscape from the period of classical garden to modern gardens and also provides theoretical support for the animal landscape design in contemporary garden in our country by absorbing the quintessence of the classical garden landscape design in China.(2) It analyzes the external and internal appreciation values of animal element, revealing the pragmatic values of animal element in the contemporary garden.(3) By questionnaire and field research, it knows the attitude of tourists towards the animals, views of animal landscape, their demands and the ideal animal landscape in their mind, which provide feasible guarantee for the research of this thesis and basis for the creating of harmonious animal landscape in the urban public green spaces.(4) Based on the theoretical research and study, it talks about the animal landscape design in the urban public green spaces from the static animal landscape and dynamic landscape these two perspectives and, according to the outstanding cases of Hong Kong Wetland Park, it summarizes the advantages of Hong Kong Wetland Park in the animal landscape design.(5) It draws a comprehensive conclusion of the thesis, prospects for follow-up studies, and puts forward the innovation and the shortcomings.The animal landscape in the urban public green space enriches the forms and the content of garden landscape, increases the cultural atmosphere of the garden, deepens the artistic of the garden, promotes ornamental and fun, builds the simplicity and vivid garden environment, and makes the urban public green space into the lively and cultural urban public space, in order to make a harmonious existence of human and nature.
