The Western Wei and Northern Zhou dynasties entered the first glorious period of Dunhuang animal painting.Cave 249 of Mogao Caves is an important representative grotto of the Western Wei Dynasty,and there are a large number of animal paintings painted in the caves.This article will sort out the animal modeling in the Mogao Grottoes West Wei 249 Caves,and in the analysis of the reasons for the emergence of animal paintings in the Western Wei 249 caves,the main painting content and form of expression on the basis of the analysis of the main graphic elements and modern design,focusing on the analysis of the mogao grottoes cultural and creative products in the animal painting theme and modern design combination and practice.This design practice mainly includes four series of cultural and creative products,namely "Spring and Autumn Fruit","Peach Dream","Blossoming Flowers",and "Flowing Essence",aiming to explore the innovative transformation of various forms of animal painting in Cave 249.
