University Campus stepped into a new development period in China since 2000.The planning and construction of universities has happened all over the country. As a national key university, Nanchang University in Qianhu Lake Campus was planning to build during the period. However, increasingly harm conflict between human and cars occurred in this new campus--Qian Lake campus during it put into serve. Traffic accidents happened in this campus frequently. The problems of pedestrian system threaten to the safety of students.Based on the pedestrian system in Qianhu Lake Campus of Nanchang University, the problems in this campus were studied and analyzed through the field survey and data collection, in order to find the current existing problems and to put forward the optimization strategies of the pedestrian system. This study can not only bring some practical significance to Qianhu Lake Campus of Nanchang University, but also provide certain reference to the planning of new campus, and at the same, to the transformation of pedestrian system in campus.Three parts as followed:The methods of planning and studying on the pedestrian system in campus have been summarized on the base of sum-up and analysis on the related theory and practices ranging from domestic to foreign university planning.Taking human behavior as starting point to observe and investigate the pedestrian system in Qianhu Lake Campus of Nanchang University, in order to find the current existing problems and summarized into five categories.Selecting the most representative places of five categories to study and analysis in-depth and put forward the optimization strategy correspondingly.
