The Performance Evaluation Of Urban Spatial Structure In China

Along with the development of the economy,as the carrier of human activities,the development of city is accelerating,such as the improvement of political system,the economic restructuring,and social construction becoming more humane.Therefore,the city development tends to be comprehensive and diversified,and almost the same time,urban spatial structure is experiencing extension and adjustment.At the present stage in China,urban sustainable development,low-carbon city,and compact design of urban transportation play very important roles in research of urban spatial structure performance.The key aspect of all of this,to promote city more efficient,convenient and humanistic,is to make an performance evaluation of urban spatial structure.The evaluation will help to adjust the tendency of urban construction and make city planning.Based on the previous research results,this article selects more than 286 prefecture-level cities in China as the research objects to establish the index of urban spatial structure performance with the analytic hierarchy process(AHP),and uses the grey comprehensive analytic method to evaluate the performances of Chinese cities' spatial structure.In order to explore the performance levels of urban spatial structure from different patterns and areas,this article summaries the main characteristics and influential factors of urban spatial structure in China.Author is looking forward to supply reference and basis to municipal engineering planning,making the development of Chinese city more sustainable and optimized.
