There is a lot of waste heat in industrial water cooling, air cooling systems, power generation, plastics and chemical industry in the need for timely export, which is usually leaded away by using cooling water, so how to improve the thermal efficiency of the cooling system has been widespread concern, particularly in electricity production industry. Thermal efficiency of the cooling system is closely related to the economic benefits of the power plants. In order to improve the efficiency of the power plant, transformations for cooling towers and condensers are needed, the lower the cooling tower outlet water temperature and condenser saturation temperature, the higher the thermal efficiency of the units. In order to explore the characteristics of the cooling tower, people mainly use simulation and experimental methods for cooling tower Industrial tower. Thus, designing a fast dynamic response and high precision control system to ensure that the analog cooling tower can quickly simulate a variety of conditions to achieve a stable analog of the original body of water spray cooling tower section density and wind speed changes, which can provide a reliable basis for the industrial production of experimental cooling tower design and has important application value.At present, there were few reports about the automatic control system for analog cooling tower, most of the research is by manually adjusting the flow and temperature simulation tower air inlet, water inlet, to test the inconvenience, also it is difficult to improve the accuracy of simulation control tower. Therefore, according to the use requirements of different cooling experiment, the design of the simulation of automatic control system of cooling tower is very necessary.In this paper, a control system is developed based on the functional requirements of counterflow analog cooling tower. Firt. the overall design of the analog cooling tower is prsented, then the characteristics of the wind speed, water flow and temperature in the tower are discussed, and simulation studies of the control algorithms are conducted, followed by the presentation of the implementations of the control algorithms. Finally, a test for the entire system is given, which demonstrates that the PID control and fuzzy PID control techniques chosen in this paper can meet the control requirements of the system, which also shows that the designed control system has a fast response and high steady-state accuracy. The developed control system is also valuable for developments of other cooling towers.
