| Recently, building energy consumption accounts 27% in the total energy consumption of social goods, while HVAC consumption accounts more than 50% in building energy consumption. Considering that the cooling tower is important energy-consuming air-conditioning equipment, cooling tower energy research has increasingly gained attention. The energy consumption of cooling tower mainly focuses on the Fan of cooling tower and pump. Therefore, the research and development of the cooling tower fan and cooling water pump saving energy control methods and practical engineering technology is of important theoretical and practical significance.This paper mainly researches in mechanical ventilation cooling upstream, which based on the cooling tower thermal performance test bench. It also develops the software and hardware control system and completes the installation and experiments of the system. Considering the total energy consumption in three aspects such that the chiller, cooling tower fans, and cooling water pump, the experiments study the performance of the control of cooling tower thermal performance, and determine the optimal cold picture under partial environmental wet bulb temperature.Through controlling the parameters among no frequency conversion control, fan frequency conversion control, water pump frequency conversion control, and fan pumps and frequency conversion control, and comparing various energy consumptions, it comes to the conclusion that both controlling in fan and pump gets the best control strategy.In this paper the experimental system established by cooling tower, the experimental results show that, both of the fan and pump frequency conversion can saving 53.9% electricity energy then no frequency conversion, the pump frequency conversion can saving 46.7% electricity energy then no frequency conversion, the fan frequency conversion can saving 10.4% electricity energy then no frequency conversion. In the adjusting of cooling tower part load operation, both of the fan and pump frequency conversion control, effect of energy saving is the best, if the engineering condition can't satisfy both of the fan and the pump frequency conversion, then it should give priority to pump frequency conversion. |
