Petroleum exploration gradually march into the deep water. According to the problem of deep water oil and gas exploration in the South China Sea, the concept of subsurface tension leg production system was put forward by Huang professor's team, Dalian University of Technology. The risk of damaging the STLP system increases as ultra deepwater marine environmental conditions are very harsh. In order to ensure the STLP system in the safe production working condition, it's great necessary to establish a set of monitoring system for the STLP platform structure. By full-automatically and uninterrupted monitor the key component, response of integrated of the STLP structure, and the environment factors, ensure the safety of the system. Meanwhile, monitoring data can also provide data support for structural optimization analysis.This paper takes the STLP system as the object of study. Design the structural health monitoring system and develop the monitoring software that comes with this system. This paper mainly included the following aspects:First of all, to analysis and sum up the consult literature, summary the main reasons, failure modes and effects analysis of marine platform accidents in domestic and overseas. Structural strength analysis of STLP system is carried out by using finite element analysis software ANSYS. Then conclude the key monitoring component and key monitoring parameters in this way. Finally, select the corresponding measurement sensor based on the analysis.Secondly, based on the prototype-based site monitoring technology, take stress analysis and modal analysis of mooring system, riser system and SSP. The safety monitoring design principle for the STLP system, monitoring and items, and the arrangement of measuring points are discussed. The monitoring data will provide as deign for STLP structure optimization.Thirdly, due to the existing monitoring technology can only conduct the local monitoring, can't show the motion state of the global system. Based on 3D simulation of the whole platform can make up for the deficiencies in this area by using Virtual Reality technology. In the STLP 3D simulation system, the motion state of the system is displayed in real time by using real-time monitoring data.Fourthly, based on full-scale measurement and 3D simulation of the STLP system, develop a communication scheme for the STLP monitoring system. It include communication protocol of the field control layer and management decision layer, sensor data acquisition scheme and independent remote data monitoring system.Finally, develop the real time monitoring software for the STLP monitoring system. Design the total design scheme and specific programming method for data management module, man machine interface module, and serial communication module. The monitoring software must meet the requirements of the manipulator.
