Research On Remote Meter Reading System Based On Mobile Internet

In recent years, mobile internet has been rapidly diffused in people's life, which facilitates the aim of Sapiential City's development for our country. Building intelligent residential community would be a key step to achieve that aim, which includes technology of remoting centralized meter reading for water, electricity and gas on the basis of mobile internet. The traditional way depending only on human resources for manual meter reading has become more and more outdated, which is unable to fit the needs of the current social development. Whereas a data acquisition system wihich contains metering, data collecting and data analysis is also becoming more and more matural of the technology of the integrated processing for the water, electricity and gas metering. Remote centralized meter reading system, by the reason of being simple, flexible, fast and efficient automated processing, saveing manpower, avoiding man-made error counting, eradicating mendacious reading, that would be the big orientation and main methods to improve automation and informationization management for those water, electricity and gas industries.The topic of my thesis mainly based on the above problems, investigates some searching requires of water company's demands for users'meter reading, daily business, data management and application, then comes to the design of the "Remote meter reading system based on Mobile Internet", and the applications of this technology has been elaborated in details.The core function of this system consisted of four parts, a GPRS data reader installed on user water meter, a data integrated management system running on server, a monitor information display program running on remote terminal, and a remote query APP running on Android system. Running the system will help the water company to collect water users in area regularly, and to synchronize with the remote data collection and monitoring, to achieve the automation of water supply company meter reading operation, that solves the problems fundamentally for home meter reading for both users and water company staff. This system also achieves the aim for monitoring and controlling of the water status for remote users constantly, therefore abnormal water consumption would be easily detected, notified, and processed. It also helps the water company to troubleshoot and solve problems for users to restore the water supply in the shortest time.Furthermore, when stuff need to solve the abnormal water consumption on the scene, the user's historical water data usually needs to be called out for analysis. The system combined with the technical conditions of the Internet era, which allows the operator finding the data easily through the mobile Internet, and getting results of the analysis in time.
