A key constraint for the scale and market development of remanufacturing industry is that the quality of remanufacturing products can't satisfy customers'expectations. As the last step of remanufacturing engineering and also a core step, reassembly plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of remanufacturing products. However, due to the complex reassembly process, various resources, multi-source heterogeneous information and other factors, reassembly process presents many uncertainties which affect the stability and reliability of reassembly. Therefore, how to monitor and control the reassembly process under uncertainty in real-time, and guarantee the performance and quality of remanufactured products no less than that of original ones, have become a key issue to be solved for remanufacturing engineering.Taking remanufacturing engine as the research object, this paper analyses the technological process of remanufacturing engine and describes the connotation of uncertainties during reassembly process. On this basis, the reassembly resources are classified and described by using modeling method based on ontology. Then, the homogeneous processing environment of multi-source heterogeneous information is constructed based on rule-mapping method, which provides a consistent semantic environment for sensing, monitoring and controlling the uncertainties during reassembly process.Then, we analyse the key technologies of information collection and describe the information acquisition process in a formal description method through defining the entity object of reassembly process. Meanwhile, a state space model of reassembly process with multiple-input multiple-output is constructed and the error compensation mechanism of reassembly station is given, which reveals the transfer, accumulation and coupling process of reassembly quality error.Next, combined with the object-oriented idea, an object-oriented visualization concept model (OVCM) is constructed. Then the object data model, visualization representation model, algorithm model and interactive control model of OVCM are defined, and the flow of visualization modeling is explained in details. Based on this, the visualization monitoring and controlling platform for remanufacturing engine reassembly process is constructed, and the operation and management architecture, function structure, running mechanism and database model are introduced.Finally, under the guidance of theories and methods mentioned above, the prototype system is developed based on analyzing the hardware structure and software structure. It demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of the system, and provides method and technical support for the monitoring and control of reassembly process.
