However, in recent years, with the burgeoning construction of substation, project quality management problem has been emerging increasingly Quality management in the process of its construction relies heavily on empirical and is lack of efficient quality management model and the corresponding guarantee system. So that it is difficult to adapt to the fine quality requirements of the transformer substation construction project. It will not only impair applicability and investment effect of the project. but also has impact on operation quality and safety of the power grid and even threaten normal production and life and property security. Therefore, to improve the quality of transformer substation construction project of the whole life cycle management for substation engineering security and stability has very important significance, especially about improving the power grid enterprise strength and the needs of the development of social and economic stability.In the light of a 500 kv substation project, this paper firstly analyzes the research status of quality management methods in related fields of domestic and abroad. Then according to the contents, characteristics and problems, quality management of substation project is divided by different stages, refined division and proposed an overall quality management model.Furthermore, controlling index system of quality management of substation project is proposed on the basis of fey factors who can influence the quality management of substation project filtrated by applying factor analysis and comprehensive considering the stages of planning, design and construction.Finally, through the thorough analysis, index system is ameliorated to expect to provide some experience for the later construction of substation project.
