With the rapid development of the automotive industry today, the vehicle is not only a means of tools but also is mobile office and entertainment venues for the people daily life. On the other hand, with the increase of global automotive production and sales, the urban traffic safety is also facing tremendous pressure. Therefore, how to enhance their active safety, and improve the driving comfort has become a major research issue for the automobile manufacturers and research institutions.In the process of car driving, drivers get the visual traffic information by the eyes, which accounting for 80% of the vehicle driving information, and therefore, the research of driving vision is particularly important. The car manufacturers in Europe, Japan have conducted the vision research and application, making their technology at the forefront of the world. The research of car manufacturers in European and American focus on the body structure design, and the driver access to information and feedback, while the Japanese auto manufacturers combined the vision research with the medicine, physiology, psychology, such as physiology reaction from test drivers and the driver's visibility and so on.This work studied the visual comfort from the optical perspective, and analyzed the static vision of the view security. By using the optical simulation software SPEOS, the 3D visual scene models is constructed to simulate real driving conditions, which including the comparison of the glittering part, the glaring analysis of the running car based on different light conditions, the simulation of the multimedia display screen, the imaging situation on the glass of the glittering part, the atmosphere lamp design of the cockpit etc. Therefore, we can judge whether driver's visual design is good or bad intuitively, furthermore, we can built the virtual simulation laboratory to evaluate the design of automotive interior fashion sense based on the visual analogue, the colloc ation comfort of the color, and the intuitive feelings of the material selection when designing the car cockpit. Finally, we can guide the effect analysis of the visual comfort, which comes from the component designing of the automotive.In this paper, an automotive based on Baojun is modeled, the current visual designing method of the SPEOS software and the problems of the existing automotive models are studied. By comparing the common software UG and RAMSIS, the advantage of the driver's visual designing in SPEOS is elaborated.
